A Visionary Partnership

specs.berlin was founded in 2010 by Claas Witzel. It was created as an answer to the rare existence of high quality multilabel stores with independent eyewear brands. They specialize in premium, cutting-edge eyewear and high visual optic solutions like Even G1. We have known the principal eyewear designer of Even Realities, Philipp Haffmans, for a long time, so it's safe to say we share a similar vision for the future of eyewear. We are very proud to be one of the first Even Realities partners in Germany.

Your store has a long history of embracing eyewear solutions. What drew you to Even Realities?

We’re always interested in the newest technologies and inventions on the optical market. We believe in Even G1 as the number one smart glasses because the customer is in the reality while using virtual functions.
We know Philipp Haffmans very well, and we love the design of the Even G1 A which is suitable for every face.

First impressions matter. How was your Even G1 experience?

Very good - a completely new experience with a completely new customer base. I love the amount of very positive emotional customer reactions to the product. Sales have been very good.

From an optician's perspective, what are some of the most innovative features?

Enjoying virtual benefits in reality without watching on a phone or smartwatch, etc.

How have your customers reacted to Even G1? Can you share any feedback about their try-on experience?

All customers are amazed by the product, and that they can try them on in our shop. They all enjoy our special G1-show. A lot of customers are into technical things, even more than me. But they love the connection to the optician, especially when it comes to prescription.

Have you had any particularly memorable interactions with customers regarding their experiences?

Yes, our customer's feedback was amazing. We vividly recall one of our first customers who was particularly enthusiastic about Even G1 with multifocal lenses. He wears the glasses for about 15 hours a day. He is a teacher at a renowned university here in Berlin, and Even G1 is his number one tool to navigate his day.

How do you see digitally surfaced lenses enhancing the overall user experience, particularly in terms of visual clarity and comfort?

As of now, we are very satisfied with how the prescription lenses came out. We've also received positive reviews from customers in those areas.

What features would you like to see in future updates for Even G1?

Ongoing support and more apps for the user. In our opinion, no more frame shapes are necessary because the ones we have now are perfect.

What advice would you give to someone considering trying Even G1?

We'd recommend the Even G1 as an add on to your existing glasses. We think that works perfectly.
